“In your presence there is fullness of joy.” Psalms 16:11

Life as we know it is changing at a rapid pace. Every time I open my computer it seems the speed at which we are leaving behind what we considered “normal life” is increasing.  Only God knows how far we will go, how much we will be collectively affected and how much of “normal” will come back.

All this uncertainty can  make us feel anxious and rattled. Happiness and contentment? So many of us are in survival mode.

We must stop and ask ourselves where these feeling originate from. What spirit am I being controlled by?

My youngest daughter has at times had a real fear of any talk of last day events. I never understood her reaction, it seemed to me that she simply had a wrong focus and wasn’t  turning her mind to the ultimate end of the chaos in the return of Christ. To help her with her fear we have worked on memorizing scripture. Especially 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love and a sound mind.”

But in the past two weeks I admit I have been……scared? Yes, I am willing to admit that I have been scared.  Not necessarily of a virus, but of what the world will look like a month from now, six months, a year! Will these events set the stage for the long studied and expected last day events? And most importantly, am I ready to face it?

Im not going to offer answers to these questions. But I am going to make a call  to join me in seeking comfort and encouragement from the word of God.

Here on fullnessofjoy we will be examing our lifestyles, our habits and our characters to see how they measure up to the Divine standard.

It is my goal to be ready for the glorious day and to be prepared for every difficult and uncertain day until then. And most importantly, in the midst of personal reflection and crisis to seek the fullness of joy that can ONLY be found by coming into the presence of our God and father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I also want to enjoy the little moments of joy, creativity and purpose that each day brings. I want to share these experiences with you.

I hope you will subscribe and follow my blog and that you will be blessed!

I’m looking forward to joining you on this journey for fullness of joy! I can relate to the fear. As a child I didn’t want to hear about the end of time. I always felt afraid. Praise God we don’t have to fear!
