The first time I successfully put together what I deemed a cute, practical, and modest outfit I was thrilled!
They didn’t stand out in an awkward counter-culture way, but they certainly stood apart from the world. This was my goal. I relished the victory that God had given me!

The first skirt is ankle-length and breathable, 100% cotton. It is not lined but it is thick enough that it is not see-through. It comes in several neutral colors that are great for pairing with colorful tops.
Its length + breathability makes it an all seasons skirt in our California climate. For winter, just add some cozy leggings! I have bought this skirt more than once as they have grown.
Skirt #2
Same brand different style.
Also 100% cotton, this skirt went through the seasons with us as well. The length is below the knee although you definitely want to pay attention to the measurements they give you just so there are no surprises! The tiered look added some variety. We paired it with tall boots in the winter and it was super cute.

My daughter absolutely loved this denim skirt. Its skirt is also tiered and fell closer to the mid-calf. This skirt transitioned between seasons with the addition of boots and leggings and looks good with so many tops.

My last recommendation is this athletic skirt with attached leggings. My older daughter, age 11, fits into the extra small. If you have an especially rambunctious girl this skirt has her covered!
